aw you must've really liked him huh? I know the pain of liking someone and finding out that they don't like you. I had that shit happen to me several times during high school. Being friend zoned is the worse but I always kept up hope in mind that, I may not have gotten with HER but there is other fish in the sea. I can tell you from experience that is so true, and that it will take a while for you to get over him but once you do you'll notice other guys going like this to you:

like he'll smile and be all nice and stuff when i talk to him first, other than that he completely ignores me. it sucks because i just like the idea of him. i see some guys do that to me but they don't do anything about it. im so frustrated.

yeah he's just being nice cause he prob thinks of you as a good friend is all. those guys that don't do anything are probably nervous as all hell to approach you tbh, and it might take them a while before they approach you so why not try being proactive? release that frustration by hollering at them first. If not there's always college

lol i always talk about how excited i am for college. yeah i was going to ask him to hang out a few times, he seemed really open when i was talking to him but i refused to feed into my impulsiveness since "he just not that into me" lol sorry got that from that movie.
