Anon because I don't need peoples pms.
Anyway I thought I'd make a post about it for people who are considering it but don't have anyone to talk to who has had one. I had the procedure done last week.
I'm not some shivering mass of regret. I'm actually quite happy. The fatigue I was feeling is pretty much entirely gone. I'm relieved that I can go on with my life as usual now. The actual procedure in retrospect wasn't that bad. It was pretty much like the worst period cramps of my life for 5 minutes and then it was over. The woman at the clinic held my had the entire time and talked to me about other unrelated things.  The medicine they gave me didn't cover all of the pain so if anyone reading this is going to get it done I suggest you take some REAL pain meds before hand or be put to sleep. I couldn't do that because I didn't have someone to give me a ride home. I can't wait until I test negative for pregnancy again so that I can get better birth control. Its not something I would want to do again. Not because of some deep emotional pain but because of multiple technical reasons. (pain, cost, bleeding) Still, even with all that I'd say this was very worth it and I'm very happy with my decision...even if my best friend disapproves. I get to make my life great now. :)

Why exactly did you have this abortion?
If you don't want to answer, it's cool. I'm just wondering.

Your mindset is kinda...sick.

Not forcing my opinion on you, just saying.  But whatever, it's your life.

Good for you! Abortion is an option for a reason, you shouldn't be ashamed.

I wonder what you girls would do if abortion became illegal. Would you try to kill the fetus yourself? Just wondering.

And why didn't you opt for plan-b? Was it too late?

The guy who would have been the father was an asshole and didn't want it, I didn't want it, I'm in college, I don't want to live like my mother did because she had children at my age and she didn't get done with college until her thirties, being pregnant was making it very difficult to do anything I ended up in bed any time that I wasn't in class. Sometimes I was too tired to walk to my mini fridge to get something to eat and my classes are 6 hours a day on my feet. I was having to leave class early which makes me lose points. I'd have to quit school to have a kid and I couldn't work in that condition so i'd have to be on welfare. I couldn't give away something that I carried in my body for nine months. It would completely change everything. I have plans and goals and I couldn't achieve those with a child.

There's a tea that causes miscarriage and I'm sure people who perform abortions would perform them in unsafe places for higher prices.

I didn't know anything was wrong with my BC so I didn't take plan B

Ok,I'll regret it for you.
Abortion is not the answer for situations like these.
