i think a limit of 15 of the same character and a hard cap of 40 altogether is more reasonable, or since this forum is barren just remove it altogether because there are already controls to prevent newb members from flooding

If you're allowed to put 'fuck' in your username, its only logical that it be allowed in your customizable. Outdated error etc

then ban the account if they try to circumvent it

When ever we post a long url in the post body it gives the 100 character error. Some members try to break the links, only few knows/bothers to use a shortener like bit.ly
I would suggest a automatic url shortening mechanism for the posts. So whenever a member posts a raw link it will turn in to a short link host by LW.
There are few sites which has these feature, like twitter, google + and few forums.

Instead of clicking, upload another image, and doing one image at a time, there should be a multi upload feature. Uploading one at a time can get to be bothersome. :(

Says it all really. I don't know who makes these or how long it takes. But perhaps having the choice of a few themes (say 3?) that are compulsory would help lighten LW's mood at time when the theme changes.

I'll admit I'm not one to like change.. But eh we all get used to it. I think it'd be nice and a little perk over certain events over the year. Christmas and Halloween being good examples. It might at least please more people at once if the theme can be altered.

As many of you know, our smiley list is still slightly too short. I suggest that we add on a down syndrome smiley. It will be used very frequently in topics where a member's idiocy gets out of hand. If true retardation is shown, there should be an instant way for us to express how we feel about the individual.

Though it sounds like one that would be hard to design, think of it this way. We could try to draw up a "standard" yellow smiley that would represent down syndrome, or take the easy way out and use a picture on Renfield.

- Make it so when a moderator looks up an anonymous poster, an entry is created in the ADMO log.  It would also be nice to have a reason box.  That way, there is quick reference to every anon reveal from this point forward.

This will create accountability and protection for the mods.  We will be more transparent, and we will be protected against false claims.

-Hide Anonymous topics/replies in the user's "Posts" section.  Add the same look up feature, with the same reason box, and make that appear in the admo too.

We desperately need an option where we can either accept or reject a friend request. Simply ignoring it doesn't do anything, we still end up on their friend list. PLEASE MODS, ADMINS. MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

I propose that, in addition to the many smilies we have, we should add one that represents down syndrome.

For the love of god, can we implement an "ignore" feature where you can set it so you don't see a particular user's posts without clicking on them or something?  Some of the people on LW are just outright idiots and/or love to vomit words endlessly, and it's a pain to have to wade through all of that crap.  Just about all of the major forum/board software has this feature in it now.  It'd be nice for LW to have it as well.

I believe that Davjs should pass the website onto someone who actually cares now.

This would give the website a new chance to improve in numbers and enjoyment with current members.

It is completely evident that he does not care for the website now, and so he should pass it onto someone who does.

i think it would awesome if there was a button to turn off and on your alerts about friends' moods, because i don't want to get alerts all of the time about how they are feeling especially when they can't choose.....

I noticed there is no forum for moving out, or living on your own, or renting/owning property at all.
I think it would be very very useful. A lot of members on here are nearing the age of moving out, and a lot of members already have.

There's so much to moving out and owning/renting a place to live that I think it deserves it's own forum. It'll also help with organization of those types of topics.

There's a problem with how LW handles timestamps. When you quote a message, the user's local time is input in static text. Thus, it can be confusing to some people who aren't in the same time zone.

I would suggest you make a [time] tag that can be used in quotes that allow the time to dynamically change depending on your set time zone.

It's a basic function of all online photo albums, I don't understand why it wasn't incorporated from the start.

Let us run thsi repair script more than once every 3 hours.

Sucks when a member has their count off and we have to tell them we can't do anything for them for 2-3 hours because we just ran it.

Not sure if there's some technical reason behind the time limit.

This idea is so that you would have a way much like the "privet browsing" but when turned on you would be able to keep yourself/profile from showing in the member spotlight.

Basically, when you block a member, any topic they make will not appear in your Fresh Topics.  You can manually go find them if you desire, but this way we don't accidentally waltz into their topics.

Members are gaining access to the LiveWire Members of Yore forum without realizing it.  It would be great if you got an alert on your 365th day active that told you that you could finally post in Yore.

its nice, it gets your attention. but it gets sooooo annoying after awhile. it even blinks while youre reading the new message :( ince again. annoying. just having the picture there of the envelope would be enough to get my attention. i dont know about everyone else thoughts on it. but thats just mine.
